Amanda Corby – Owner & Creative Director
Amanda brings over eleven years of experience in pubic relations, event and conference planning, not-for-profit fundraising, and community organizing. Realizing what it takes to create the strategy and tactics that generate the revenue and community involvement needed to deliver your message and reach your goals are her specialty. Amanda and the UMU team will not only assist you in developing, implementing and executing your vision, they will assure that you get the right kind of media attention and community support to sustain these results.
Allyson Turner- Project Manager
Allyson is a recent graduate from Columbia College with a BS in Business Administration. Although her focus in school was marketing, she didn’t fully realize how much she would enjoy the field until finding a place at UMU.
Working with the UMU team allows her to utilize the skills she spent so many years building. Her experiences with Amanda and UMU have helped to expand her love for event coordinating to the planning and promoting aspects, as well.
Marissa Jacobs – Office Manager/Project Coordinator
What Marissa focuses on the most is living her life to the fullest. She has graduated with an AA from FIDM and is still currently enrolled in school. As a Project Coordinator at UMU, she assists in planning, organizing, and implementing ideas for the events. Marissa loves her job, saying “working at UMU has been the most rewarding opportunity and experience I’ve ever had.”
Katie Billingsley – Special Project Coordinator
After receiving her BA in 2009, Katie decided to go even further with her education and graduated with her MS in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in 2011. Though her main career focus is the music industry and concert promotion, Under My Umbrella has been a great learning experience for Katie. She has developed skills that she never knew she had and has grown into a role here that involves being the office “go to” for simple graphics and web design jobs.
